GitHub Profile Cleaner is a Chrome extension committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

The Extension collects minimal anonymous telemetry data to help improve the product.

• Extension lifecycle events: Install, update, and daily heartbeat events
• Feature usage: Which toggle settings are enabled or disabled (e.g., "Hide Pinned repositories: ON")
• Popup interactions: When the extension popup is opened

• Personal information (name, email, address, etc.)
• Browsing history or web activity
• GitHub profile content or repository data
• Passwords or authentication credentials
• Location data
• Any personally identifiable information

All collected data is:

• Anonymous: No user identification or tracking
• Aggregated: Used only for statistical analysis
• Purpose-limited: Used solely to understand feature usage and improve the extension
• Not sold: Never sold or shared with third parties for advertising or other purposes

• Your toggle preferences (which sections to hide) are stored locally on your device using Chrome's chrome.storage.sync API
• These preferences sync across your Chrome browsers if you're signed into Chrome
• Telemetry data is sent to extension.report, a privacy-focused analytics service

The Extension uses:

• extension.report: For anonymous telemetry collection and analytics. Read their privacy policy

You can:

• Disable the extension at any time from chrome://extensions
• Uninstall the extension to stop all data collection
• Your local preferences are deleted when you uninstall the extension

• Local preferences: Stored until you uninstall the extension
• Telemetry data: Retained by extension.report according to their data retention policy

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties for any purpose.

This extension does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The extension is not directed at children.
